Deicide will play five dates in Australia at the turn of January. It opens on 30 January at the Froth and Fury Festival in Adelaide, then Melbourne on the thirty first at the Northcote Theatre.
February carries the rest: Brisbane on the third at The Brightside, outdoors, Canberra on the fourth at The Baso, and Sydney on the fifth at the Manning Bar.
Five dates is the whole country for a band of this size, and the Canberra stop is the one that stands out. Touring parties usually skip the capital and take the drive from Melbourne to Sydney in one go.
Deicide have been going out of Florida since 1989 and have spent most of the last decade touring on a catalogue rather than on a new record. An Australian run in the middle of the southern summer, with a festival opening it, is the shape those tours take: one festival slot pays for the rooms around it.
