Demonessa release Taste Of Blood on 31 October, two songs plus a bonus track. Both new songs were written alongside the debut album Wild 'N' Loud and left off it, which is the kind of detail most bands keep quiet about.
Their reason for holding them back is also their reason for putting them out now. The pair are darker than what made the record, so a Halloween release gave them a frame the album could not. It is a neat piece of scheduling for a band from Tampere with one album behind them and no label.
The bonus is more practical than ceremonial: the album's opener, Till Death Do Us Part, with its minute of acoustic introduction cut off, so the song starts where the band think it starts.
There is a line up change behind it too. Jones Tervas has left and a drummer going by Jerry Iron took the stool, and the recording was mixed and mastered by Aleksis Pelli at Mix Studio 1101, who did the album as well. New drummer, new room, new microphones: the band treat the single as a test of all three.
