Der Weg Einer Freiheit have released an instrumental version of Innern, their 2025 album. Season of Mist put the full stream on its channel on 10 September.
The label's description is short. The band strip the record "back to its instrumental core", so that guitars, bass and drums carry the post-black metal songs on their own, in a newly reimagined mix.
The six tracks are "Marter", "Xibalba", "Eos", "Fragment", "Finisterre III" and "Forlorn". The first two alone run close to twenty minutes.
Nikita Kamprad and Nicolas Rausch play guitars, with Alan Noruspur on bass and Tobias Schuler on drums. Kamprad recorded, mixed and mastered the album in Würzburg, and the drums were tracked at Studio Weißmann in the same city.
Innern followed Noktvrn from 2021.
