The European and UK tour that Despised Icon, Carnifex and Suffocation open in Munich on 29 October has lost one of its support acts. Gates To Hell announced on 19 October that they have withdrawn, citing unforeseen circumstances, and have given no further explanation.
Gutrectomy and Kanine have been brought in to cover the slot, which is a quick piece of work ten days before the first show and suggests the organisers had names on hand rather than a crisis.
The run takes in Munich on 29 October, Essen on the 30th, Haarlem on the 31st, Antwerp on 1 November, London on the 3rd and Birmingham on the 4th, with the three headliners sharing the bill throughout.
Pulling out of a tour at this point costs a band the one thing a support slot is for, which is being seen by rooms that belong to somebody else. Nothing in the announcement says whether the reason is health, money or paperwork, and the band have not added anything since.
