Destruction of Orion release their third album, Dimensions Of Chaos, on 27 November through Aesthetic Death, as a digibook CD and a gatefold double LP. Retribution is the first song from it.
Tehina Spasova does all of it, as she has from the beginning. Decreasing Brightness and States Of Horror came before, and the label does not pretend the third one changes the subject: grief, anguish and emotional collapse again, described as another stage of the same personal progression rather than a new direction.
What is said to have changed is the craft around it. The desolation of the first album and the psychological weight of the second are kept, with a more refined sense of melody, production and atmosphere laid over them. The record is meant to be heard whole, each track holding one emotional state and the set of them forming a single portrait.
Funeral doom made alone, by one person, over three records, is a format that usually either collapses or sharpens. The label is arguing for the second.
