Détresse will release Misères on 9 October through Vendetta Records.
They are not really from anywhere: the band is split between Austria and Quebec, formed in 2023, and Metal Archives files them as international for want of a better word. What they play is black metal turned inward, with the themes given as personal and inner struggle, which the two album titles say more plainly than any description would.
The pace is the striking part. The single "Die ruhe trägt" and the album Pessimismes both arrived in 2025, and Misères lands a year later.
