Devastator will put out Goathammer on 27 November, five songs to mark ten years of the band. Four are theirs and the fifth is Slayer's Show No Mercy.

A cover is the usual lazy way to fill an anniversary release and this one is not that, because Show No Mercy is where this band's whole method comes from: speed metal played at the edge of falling apart, with the black metal attitude laid over it rather than mixed in. Putting it last is a credit line.

The rest runs The Ritual, Goathammer, Triumph of Evil and Lycan's Curse, which is a tracklist that tells you exactly what you are getting. The title track is out now.

They are a quartet from Derby on Listenable Records, and the autumn before the release is busier than the release: Newcastle with Sabbat and Venomwolf, a European run with Chemicide, then Slovakia and London before the year ends. A band ten years in that marks the anniversary with new songs and a tour rather than a retrospective is one that has not finished.
