Devour have announced Ravenous for 4 January 2027 through Amputated Vein Records. The name on the sleeve is the news as much as the record is: the Paris band formed in August 2011 as Devour the Fetus and carried that name until this year.

The eight tracks are The Awakening, The Scourge Of Ignorance, Devoured By An Ageless Greed, Tormented By The Unnamed, The Decay Of Sanity, Abysmal Gluttony, Abominable Depravity Within and Oniric Salvation.

Fifteen years is a long catalogue for a band this far underground. Before this there were the full-lengths Cook'n'Roll in 2014 and Traumatic Birth Delights in 2019, the EPs Babynception in 2013 and Ocean of Fetal Abominations in 2023, and three demos going back to the first year. The early records sat closer to goregrind; the later ones are slam and brutal death metal, which is where this one is announced from.

They are playing, too. On 24 September they were on the Feast of Brutality date in Paris with Darkall Slaves, Deflesher and Engorgement. Thrashocore carried the announcement with the genre and the city attached.
