Die Apokalyptischen Reiter have signed with Napalm Records, and the interesting part of the announcement is the timeline. The thirteenth studio album is expected in summer 2027, and the band say they have been working on it for almost two years. In other words the label is buying a record that is close to finished, not commissioning one.
"A new chapter begins and we couldn't be happier. The ink has only just dried on the contract, and we have long been working on what it has always been about for us: new music," the band said. Napalm senior A&R Sebastian Munch said the band had accompanied him personally for many years and that the label looked forward to supporting the next phase of their career.
Before the record is done there is the Christmas run the Thuringian band have made a habit of. Schrei!Nachten 2026 plays Jena on 26 December, Stuttgart on the 27th, Dresden on the 28th, Aschaffenburg on the 29th and Cologne on the 30th, with Robse and Disillusion as support. Festival dates already confirmed for 2027 are 70,000 Tons Of Metal in January, Wir leben laut in May, Metalfest Open Air in Plzen in June and Bruch Open Air later the same month.
The line-up is Fuchs on vocals, Titus Maximus on guitars, Volk-Man on bass and Rohgarr on drums.
