Dischordia have announced Nocturne, the follow up to Triptych, and released "The Path Of The Hunter" from it. Transcending Obscurity Records will put the album out, with no date set.

Announcing a record with a single and no date is more common than it used to be, and it usually means a manufacturing queue rather than an unfinished album. Vinyl plants have been the slow part of this business for years, and a label of this size books its pressings before it books its calendar.

The band are three people from Oklahoma City, formed in 2010: Josh Turner, Keeno and Josh Fallin. What they play is technical death metal in the dissonant rather than the athletic sense, which on Triptych in 2022 meant a record built around a single narrative rather than a set of songs.

That album was their third, and four years have passed since it, the same gap they left between Binge / Purge and Triptych.
