Disfear have released "Shackled To Our Vice", the second song from The Last Nail, which Relapse Records put out on 20 November.
It follows "Early Graves", and it belongs to a record that exists against the odds. The band came back after eighteen years and three funerals, and Marcus Andersson died before it was finished.
What Disfear do has not changed in thirty years and did not need to: the Swedish D-beat that Discharge started and Sweden perfected, played at one speed with the guitars tuned to sound like a wall falling over. It is the reason the band's influence sits on far more records than their own discography would suggest.
Two songs out, five weeks to go, and no indication yet whether the album is the last thing the band will make. The title does not rule it out, and neither does anything the band have said since the record was announced.
