Doro has put out "You R Not Alone", the second new song from Wild At Heart, which arrives in time for the Winter Magic tour starting on 11 December.
It is a ballad, and she is straightforward about what she wants from it. "This song totally gets under your skin, has a very positive message and hits right in the heart," she says, and then names the ambition: it "could become a second 'forever'". Anybody who has been to one of her shows knows which song she is measuring it against.
The record exists for the tour rather than the other way round. She wrote most of it in the last few months precisely so there would be new material to play. "I wanted to have brand new songs for the upcoming tour that ignite on the album and live," she says.
"Rock You 2 Death" came in September and was the loud one. This is the other half of the formula she has been running for forty years, and the December timing of a ballad is not an accident either.
