Dragonland have released Prophecies, their seventh album and the first in a long while to arrive with a working apparatus around it.

Fredrik Nordstrom mixed and mastered it at Studio Fredman, the room that made In Flames, Arch Enemy and HammerFall sound the way they do, and Pedro Sena, who has drawn for Amon Amarth and Kreator, did the cover. That choice of studio was the first thing announced about the record.

The other piece of news in the announcement is not about music at all. The band have joined the RTN Touring roster, which for a Swedish symphonic power metal band that has spent most of its existence between long silences is the part that decides whether the album gets played to anyone.

They have been going from Gothenburg since 1999. Seven albums in twenty seven years is not a heavy rate, and the gaps have been the story more often than the records.
