Dungeon Serpent have announced Lamentations of the Shadowkingdoms for 30 October through Profound Lore Records, with a first song already online. Damian Herring mixed and mastered it at Subterranean Watchtower Studios.

It is the second album and the first since World of Sorrows in 2021. Between the two there were two demos, a single and a split, which for most bands would be a quiet five years and for this one has been the whole of its recorded output.

The band started in Vancouver in 2019 as Arawn on his own, playing everything. Since then Horrifier has taken the bass, Repenter the rhythm guitar, Bhraonáin the drums, and last year somebody arrived to play keyboards without giving a name.
