Ecnephias have released "Terra Di Bugia", the first song from Liturgia Della Notte, out on 11 December through My Kingdom Music.
The album has a rule behind it. Eight songs, each tied to a different horror or esoteric film, and the whole thing sung in Italian for the first time in the band's thirty years. Those two decisions work together: the films are Italian, the genre is Italian, and singing it in English would have put a translation between the record and the thing it is about.
Titles like "Posseduta Dall'Abisso", "L'Anticristo" and "Le Suore" need no explaining to anybody who has seen a Fulci or an Argento.
Stefano Mastronicola made the lyric video. It is the band's first recorded work in six years, since Seven, The Pact Of Debauchery.
It comes digitally, on digipak CD with a twelve page booklet, and on gold marbled vinyl in an edition of two hundred.
