Eleine have released "Liars Linger", the fourth single from The Water Taste of Blood, which comes out on 4 December through Algoth Records and Sound Pollution. A visualizer arrived with it.
The song follows "Watch as We Rise", "We March" and "Empire of Lies", and the band describe it as a song about broken trust rather than about the enemy outside. "Have you ever trusted someone deeply? Maybe even to the point where you trust them with your life? When trust is broken, it all falls apart," they said, calling the chorus one of the strongest on the record, "heartbreaking yet uplifting, heavy but fragile".
The album holds twelve songs and keeps two of them out of English. "Allt Mitt Blod" is in Swedish and "Ich Sehe Dich" in German, which is a line the band have drawn before with their reading of Rammstein's "Mein Herz brennt" in 2019 and with "War das alles" in 2023. It closes with "We Stand United", the song that gave the 2025 EP its name.
This is the fifth full length from the band, after Eleine in 2015, Until the End in 2018, Dancing in Hell in 2020 and We Shall Remain in 2023. They formed in Landskrona in 2014 and have stayed unsigned to a major label the whole way, releasing through Black Lodge and now Algoth.
The line up is Madeleine Liljestam on vocals, Rikard Ekberg on guitars and vocals, Victor Jonasson on guitars and Kevin Werder on drums, who took the stool in 2025.
