Embryonic Autopsy have renewed with Massacre Records. The timing is the interesting part: the contract is extended precisely as the band finish the thing it was signed for.
The Chicago band formed in 2021 and built three albums around one science fiction story, Prophecies of the Conjoined in 2022, Origins of the Deformed in 2024 and Rise of the Mutated this year. A label that signs a concept trilogy is buying a known quantity with a known ending. Re-signing past that ending is a different bet, made without knowing what the band will do next.
Massacre also gets a touring act out of it. Embryonic Autopsy cross North America with Nervosa and Castrator in February and March 2027, which is the kind of bill that sells the back catalogue as much as the new record.
