Eternity's End have signed a multi-album deal with Scarlet Records and are finishing a new studio album for this autumn. The title, the release date and the tracklist are all still unannounced.
What the band will say is what it sounds like. "This upcoming album is the fastest and most aggressive album we have recorded so far," they said, adding that they are "back with a vengeance". They describe the label as a natural home for the sort of progressive power and speed metal they play.
The project belongs to guitarist Christian Muenzner, known for more than a decade of technical death metal with Necrophagist and Obscura, who started it in 2014 to go back to the music he began with: neoclassical guitar playing, progressive structures and the speed of European power metal, with Symphony X, Yngwie Malmsteen, Stratovarius and early Helloween among the names the band cites.
Three albums came out independently before this deal: The Fire Within in 2016, Unyielding in 2019 and Embers of War in 2021. The new record introduces the line-up announced earlier this year, with Mike Livas on vocals, Muenzner and Justin Hombach on guitars and Jimmy Pitts on keyboards.
