Evil Invaders will release Weaponized Chaos, their fourth album, on 19 February through Napalm Records, with "D.S.S. (Death Strikes Suddenly)" as the first song from it.
The band say picking that song was the hard part: when the mixes came back, everyone around the record had a different favourite. "This album has everything," they said, "speed and savage thrash to crushing grooves, catchy melodic heavy metal, progressive twists and atmospheric passages. No two tracks are quite alike, yet they all belong together."
Francesco Paoli of Fleshgod Apocalypse produced it, as he did Shattering Reflection in 2022, which is a long enough working relationship now that the sound of these records is partly his.
"D.S.S." is the straight thrash end of what they describe, built on a guitar duel between Max Mayhem and Joe Van Audenhove before the last chorus, and it came out with a performance video rather than anything staged.
