Fading Light have released Far Away From The Stars, the third and final song out ahead of The Spell Of A New Dawn, through Apostasy Records.

Three singles before a debut album is a full campaign by the standards of a band nobody has heard yet, and calling this one the last of them is a useful signal: what remains is the record itself rather than another month of drip feeding. Poltergeist came earlier in the sequence.

The words are on screen rather than acted out, which suits a song whose title does most of the scene setting. What the band do sits in the melancholic end of the music, closer to atmosphere than to aggression, and a first album is where that either holds for forty minutes or does not.

Apostasy Records have carried a long list of bands in this territory and tend to sign for the long run rather than for one record, which is the more interesting detail in an announcement that otherwise contains a title and a format.
