Fading Light have put out "Poltergeist" as a lyric video, the second song from The Spell of a New Dawn, which Apostasy Records release on 13 November.
It is a debut album, and everything this band has out is from this year: "Seeds of Death" came first, this is the second, and the record follows in three weeks. A symphonic black metal band arriving fully formed with a label behind them is less common than it sounds, because the arrangements cost money before anybody has heard a note.
They come from Rottweil, a small town in the south west of Germany better known for a dog breed than for anything played loudly, which is the sort of place this genre keeps coming out of.
Apostasy have been putting out black metal from central Europe for two decades and tend to sign bands for a run rather than a record, so a debut on their list in November is worth noting now rather than after it arrives.
