Filth are streaming Death Exhibition, their second album, in full. It came out on 11 September, a year after Time to Rot.
The Swedish trio keep the old school attack of the debut and widen it: heavy, slow rhythms and passages that lean towards doom set against angular riffing and cavernous vocals. The record was made with an entirely analogue production, which leaves the performances raw while the writing underneath shows more detail.
Its two connected instrumentals carry much of that. "…Inhumed…" opens with a treated bass passage and sinks from there, and "…Exhumed…" makes the slow climb back, giving the album a shape that death metal instrumentals rarely attempt.
The album comes out through two labels: Me Saco Un Ojo Records handles the CD and vinyl in Europe, and Rotted Life releases it on CD and cassette in the United States.
