Firtan have released a video for Shadows of a Dawn Unborn, which makes four singles from Helios before the album itself arrives tomorrow, 2 October, on AOP Records. We wrote about the third one when it came out.
This one brings in Christian of Vinsta, which is a sensible pairing: both work the Alpine end of atmospheric black metal, where the folk instrumentation is not an ornament but part of how the songs are built. Mbience Visuals, which is Oliver Konig, filmed and produced the video, and Markus Stock mixed and mastered the album at Klangschmiede.
Four singles out of one record is a lot, and spending the last of them twenty four hours before release is a particular choice: it is not there to sell the album to anybody who has not already decided. AOP are pressing ninety nine copies on vinyl.
