Gorgatron have put out "Cleansed", the first song from Turmoil, a ten track album due on 11 December through Time To Kill Records. It is their fifth, and the first since 2024's Sentience Revoked.
It is also the first thing to come out of the deal we wrote about when the Fargo band signed to the Italian label, which they did after more than a decade of putting records out without one behind them. A single in October for an album in December is the pace of a label release rather than a self release.
Kronos Mortus describes the song as built on old grievances, and the band's register has not moved: intricate, fast, and more interested in the arrangement than in the hook. Thirteen years into a catalogue that began in North Dakota, that consistency is most of what their audience comes for.
Ten tracks is the only number attached to the record so far. No artwork credit, no guests and no tour dates have been announced with it.
