Grin have put out Fuller and Liquefaction, and they are the start of something deliberate: the Berlin duo plan to release singles one after another over the coming months, with an album at the end of it, currently set for January 2027.

Fuller is the one that sounds like them, deep bass, a slow build that keeps pressing, the sludge and doom they have been making since Phantom Knocks. Liquefaction is the one that moves: the same crushing weight, but with a post-punk pulse under it that the band trace to Killing Joke, on a cold bass line and a dystopian drive.

They are Jan and Sabine Oberg, two people making a noise that sounds like more.
