Grob have released Ikonoklasta, their first album, through Putrid Cult, and the whole of it is up as a stream.

Ten songs, and the route to them was the long one. Necromaniak on guitars and drums and Death Dealer on vocals started in 2019 with a plan that went no further than recording something filthy and catchy, putting it on cassette and finding an underground label willing to take it. Two demos followed, then the Miesozerca EP in 2021 and Misophonia in 2022, both through Putrid Cult, a split in 2025 and a live tape they put out themselves.

What they play sits across death metal, thrash and doom with hardcore punk and old rock and roll pushed through it, and the band treat aggression and a memorable song as equal requirements rather than opposing ones.

The subject matter has widened with the album. Okultyzm dla mas, Szczury Wroclawia and Bedziesz zabijal take on the near religious treatment of certain ideas and the state of the country the band live in, which is a different kind of writing from the demos and is the reason they call this their most complete statement.
