The interesting clause is the exclusion. Hagane have signed a worldwide physical deal with Napalm Records for Through the Night, and it covers everywhere except Japan.
That is the normal shape when a band already has a home market that works. Napalm release the record outside Japan on 15 January 2027, on CD and vinyl, while whatever exists at home stays where it is. The Austrian label saw them at Rockharz this summer, which is the whole reason the deal happened: senior A and R Sebastian Munch said the band impressed them there, and thanked the label's Japanese partners at Euclid Agency and Eagletail Music for the introduction.
The band named the roster they are joining, which tells you what they think they have bought: DragonForce, Kamelot, Accept, Frozen Crown and Alter Bridge. Four European shows follow in spring 2027, at Epic Fest in Roskilde on 9 April, Lido in Berlin on the 13th, Markthalle in Hamburg on the 14th and Club Volta in Cologne on the 16th.
Hagane formed in Tokyo in 2018 and have two albums behind them, Code ; 9021 in 2022 and Top of the Tower in 2025.
