Haken will tour North America in spring 2027 with Thank You Scientist and Einar Solberg, the Leprous singer, supporting.
It opens on 4 March in Austin and runs across the continent through Dallas, Mesa, Santa Ana, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sacramento, Portland, Seattle and Vancouver, then back east through Salt Lake City, Denver, Kansas City, Chicago, Cleveland, Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City, Cambridge, New York, Philadelphia, Washington and Carrboro.
That is a theatre run rather than a club run, in rooms of a thousand to two thousand, which is where progressive metal has settled in North America: too big for the bar, nowhere near an arena, and sold almost entirely to people who already own every record.
The support is well chosen. Thank You Scientist bring horns to it, and Solberg is doing his own material rather than Leprous, which gives the night three different ideas of what the word progressive is supposed to mean.
