Peaceville have put out a lyric video for The Lonely Shadow, from Avrak, the self titled debut by Avrak, out on 9 October.
The line that matters is in the label's own text: the band was founded in November 2023 by the guitarists Anders Hegna, of Nod, El Kayenne and Svidd Grevling, and Ted Skjellum, who is half of Darkthrone. The two had known each other for years and what they share, the label says, is a passion for old classic rock and metal, which is also what Darkthrone have been working through for the last fifteen years. Metal Archives files Avrak under black, heavy and doom metal, in that order, and the first compositions reportedly took shape inside five days.
They come from Porsgrunn. Matthew Vickerstaff made the video.
