Han have premiered "Ashen Frozen Thrones", the first song from their next album, Whispers Of The Nocturnal Aeon. No date has been given for the record.
They have been going since 2009 with three albums out, which in Swiss black metal is a career rather than a start. The country has never had a scene in the sense that Norway or France has one, and the bands that come out of it tend to work in isolation and sound like it.
The title is the whole aesthetic in four words, and that is not a complaint. A style this codified lives or dies on what a band does inside the form, not on whether it announces a new one, and the audience for it has never asked for anything else.
A fourth album from a band at this level usually arrives on a small label with a four hundred copy vinyl run, which is the economy that has kept this music alive for thirty years.
One song, no date, nothing else said.
