Hell-Born have put out a video for Blood In Stone, the second single from VII. Deformeathing Production releases the album on 9 October, and the title is doing double duty: it is the band's seventh full-length and it holds seven songs.
The band formed in Sopot in 1996, which makes this their thirtieth year. The distance between records has never been even. Hellblast arrived in 2001 and four more followed by 2008, then nothing until Natas Liah in 2021, and now this.
What has not moved is the method: old school death and black metal with melody kept in the guitars rather than anywhere softer. Thirty years in, the band are still making the argument that this is enough.
