Helloween ended their world tour on Saturday with a sold out show at the Suhai venue in Sao Paulo. The run was billed as the 40 Years Anniversary tour and took the band through Europe, North America, Asia and Latin America, with the European summer festivals in between.
The set was built to cover the whole forty years, from the early records through the songs the audience turns up for and on to material from Giants & Monsters, the current album. The production carried large screens, pyrotechnics and a stage design made for this run.
Forty years is a long time for a band that has been through as many line-ups as this one, and the tour was the argument that the current one is the one that closes the circle. It ended eleven thousand kilometres from where it started.
