Hellripper have put out a digital double single of covers: Let's Get Drugs and Mainline, both by Zeke, the Seattle band who have spent thirty years playing everything at one speed.
James McBain, who is Hellripper on record, says Zeke have been among his favourite bands for years. The choice is not a stretch. What he does with black metal and speed metal has always had more in common with that end of punk than with anything Norwegian.
The covers arrive between tours. European dates begin this week, and the band's first full North American run follows in October and November, behind Coronach, the fourth album, which Century Media released earlier this year.
