Hellripper have joined Havok's American tour, several dates after it began, now that the visa problems keeping them out of the country have been resolved.
They were booked as direct support for the entire run and missed the opening nights while the paperwork sat. That has become a routine hazard for European bands crossing to the United States, and it usually ends with the dates lost rather than recovered, so arriving halfway through is the better outcome here.
The remaining dates run from 7 November in Nashville to 20 November in Denver, through Asheville, Richmond, Baltimore, Harrisburg, Boston, New York, Lakewood, Detroit, Chicago and Kansas City. Slackjaw and Xoth are on the bill with them.
What the Scottish band play, blackened speed metal written and recorded almost entirely by James McBain, has carried them further out of the underground with each record, and a full American support slot behind a thrash band of Havok's standing is the sort of run that does the rest of the work.
