Hollow Front have released So Long To Yesterday, and the reason it is the first song out rather than the heaviest is the whole story.

"We wrote the first demo for 'So Long to Yesterday' almost two years ago, only a few months after Dakota's stroke," the band said. "At the time, we didn't know if he would ever return to Hollow Front or if we were even going to be a band for much longer. We just wanted to have fun and make music with our friend again."

Dakota Alvarez, who plays guitar and sings, rejoined officially a year after that demo was written, and they finished the song with him. "Hearing his voice back in the band and watching him continue to recover made the song feel even more special. It felt triumphant. So when it came time to choose the track we wanted to lead with, starting here felt right. This isn't the heaviest song we have coming, but it shines a spotlight on Dakota's voice, his recovery, and everything his return means to us."
