Hostilia have released No Mercy For The Weak, the third and last song out before The Curse of Khamun, and the band have been unusually specific about how the record was made.

No click tracks disguised as perfection, they say, no endless digital correction, and no interest in sanding away the human element. In 2026 that is a technical choice with consequences: a thrash record cut that way drifts, breathes and occasionally rushes, which is what the records they grew up on do.

What they are after, in their own words, is the essential quality of classic metal: raw energy, songs that stay in the head, and performances that sound like people playing in a room together. A band formed in 2021 saying this is making a bet that the audience can hear the difference.

Gothenburg is a strange address for it. The city's name is attached to a melodic death metal sound this band has nothing to do with, and a second album of straight thrash out of it is the least expected thing on Hammerheart's schedule.
