Hour Of Penance are in the studio recording guitars for their tenth album, according to a clip Agonia Records published.
There is no title, no date and no tracklist in it. What there is, is the number: ten albums from a band that began in Rome at the end of the nineties and has spent the whole time in the fastest and most mechanical corner of death metal, where the drums do not stop and the riff is a blur with edges.
Reaching ten is rarer in that corner than it sounds. Bands playing at this speed tend to lose members to injury, boredom or the simple arithmetic of what it costs to tour, and the Italian band have gone through most of their line-up more than once without slowing down.
The last record we wrote about came out on the same label, which is where this one is presumably going too.
