Hyperion have released Fides Novem, the second song from Elysia.
The number that matters is ten. Seraphical Euphony came out in 2016 and is the only album this Stockholm band have made, a record that melodic black metal people have been passing around ever since precisely because nothing followed it. A demo in 2010, a single in 2015, one album, then silence.
Willowtip Records has them now, which is a label better known for technical death metal than for anything with this much melody in it, and that pairing is itself a piece of information about where the second record sits.
Erik Molnar has played guitar in the band since 2007, which is nineteen years for two albums. Whatever else Elysia turns out to be, it is not a record anybody rushed.
Fides Novem is the second song out from it. Melodic black metal is a style where a decade of silence usually means a band has quietly stopped rather than taken its time, so a second single is the point at which the album stops being a rumour.
