Ignea have released "Prefab", with Andy LaPlegua of Combichrist singing on it, from Monumental, the album Napalm Records puts out on 23 October.
The subject is the kind of building most of Eastern Europe grew up inside. "'Prefab' reflects on the darker side of nostalgia, prefabricated socialist buildings, originally meant to give everyone a roof over their heads," Helle Bohdanova said. The guest is the point of the arrangement as much as the name: Combichrist's industrial edge against a band who otherwise fold Middle Eastern folk into symphonic metal.
They come from Kyiv and have been going since 2015, through the EP Sputnik and the album The Sign of Faith. Bohdanova sings, Yevhenii Zhytniuk plays keys, Dmytro Vinnichenko guitars and Oleksandr Kamyshyn bass.
