Induction have released a new version of Gods Of Steel with Kai Hansen of Helloween and Gamma Ray singing on it. The song is not new: it first appeared as an exclusive track on the physical editions of LOVE KILLS!, the band's third album, released on 6 February 2026 through Reigning Phoenix Music, with Antonio Calanna of A Cold Paradise as the guest.
The band are led by guitarist Tim Hansen, who is Kai Hansen's son, and the two had recently worked together on the Hansen album Born with a Hammer, out on 18 September through earMUSIC. Tim Hansen explained the choice in the label's own words: "Gods Of Steel is probably the most epic song we've ever written. It has everything we love about heavy metal: huge melodies, massive choirs, energy and that larger than life feeling that made us fall in love with this music in the first place. Having Kai join us for this new version takes the song to an entirely different level. Of course, for me personally, having my dad on an INDUCTION song makes this release even more special."
How it sounds: the arrangement is the same big choral power metal it was, with a voice on top that has been making exactly this sound since 1985, and the contrast between the two singers is most of the reason to hear it twice.
It was recorded at Boogie Park Studios by Denny Meissner and Tim Hansen, mixed by Eike Freese and Tim Hansen, mastered by Freese, with a video produced by Gabor Toth. The release lands days before a tour with Tungsten and Kilmara. Kai Hansen said in September that the next Helloween album is eighty per cent finished.
