Into The Grave have added six bands to the 2027 edition of the Leeuwarden festival, among them Orbit Culture and Armored Saint.
Orbit Culture are the return, having last played the festival in 2023, which in their case was two albums and a considerable rise ago. Armored Saint are the other way round, a band from 1982 arriving with John Bush singing, and the one booking on the list that will pull people who do not usually buy a ticket for anything recent.
The other four fill the programme out rather than lead it: Nekrogoblikon, whose death metal has always been a joke it commits to, the horror leaning thrash of Void, the folk material of Vanaheim, and Officium Triste, who have been making funeral doom in Rotterdam since 1994 and are the most local booking of the six.
Early bird tickets for the festival are nearly gone, which is the usual reason a festival announces six names in one go rather than one a week.
