Ion Vein have put out "Static Vision", a newly recorded version of a song from Beyond Tomorrow, ahead of a twenty fifth anniversary edition of that album on 20 November through Majesphere Records. The single comes out on 16 September.
What forced the work was an absence. Three master tapes from the original sessions could not be found, so the band went back into a studio in June 2025 and recorded those three songs again, at Rax Trax in Chicago, with Jim Morris mixing at Morrisound. "Static Vision preserves the energy of the original and combines it with new power and clarity," the announcement says.
The edition runs to 250 copies on vinyl, plus a CD, and carries live material from 1999 that has never been released. Russ Klimczak sings, Chris Lotesto and John Malufka play guitars, Brian Gordon bass, Scott Lang drums, and the band have been going in Chicago since 1994.
