Iron Maiden are coming back to North America in the spring of 2027 for sixteen more shows, a third and final leg of Run For Your Lives. Bullet For My Valentine and The Raven Age are the special guests.

This morning the band closed the last leg with four words: "We must do it again some time." That turns out to have been a trailer rather than a goodbye.

Steve Harris says the plan had been the opposite. "Maiden were planning on taking a break from live performances in 2027, but we've been enjoying this last leg in the USA and Canada so much that we all had a chat and decided we should take the show to parts we missed, particularly the North West and South East. It just seems fair to our many fans there."

The routing follows that logic: mainly the regions the current tour skipped, indoor and outdoor venues, and two festival headline slots at the end, Sonic Temple in Columbus and Boardwalk Rock in Maryland. "At festivals you are not just playing to your own fans," Harris says, "so it's always a challenge and we all love a challenge." A band in its fiftieth year and freshly in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame choosing to spend a planned year off on the two corners of a continent it missed is not the usual shape of a farewell.
