Dee Snider resigned from Twisted Sister over what the band called health challenges, and Sebastian Bach is singing the autumn 2026 shows in his place. Jay Jay French, asked on Podcast Rock City Live how the first nights had gone, started with the easy part.
"He's been the greatest," French said of Bach. "He's been the most fun guy. He is the most fun guy."
Then the harder part. "If you ask a hundred Twisted fans who could do it, you'll get ones who go, 'Dee can never be replaced.' You hear that shit all the time. The thing is this: nobody is irreplaceable anywhere. They're really not." He went through Freddie Mercury replaced by a singer from American Idol, and Steve Perry replaced by one found on YouTube. "Let's get real. The difference between that is we got a real guy, like someone who actually does this for a living, is a bona fide superstar, a great performer in his own right."
He said he never doubted Bach could carry the job, and that nobody is obliged to buy a ticket.
