Jordsjuk put Naglet til livet out through Indie Recordings on 19 September last year. On 18 September this year, a day short of the anniversary, they pressed it again on vinyl and CD and released a video for Rottebitt shot at Blå in Oslo in March.
In between those two dates the album won the hard rock and metal category at Spellemannprisen, the Norwegian record award, in March. The debut EP Råtner på rot from 2024 went to vinyl for the first time on the same day.
The video is not a production. Jørn Veberg, who photographs the band, pointed a camera at a concert, and what comes out is the thing itself: black metal with thrash, death metal, punk and plain rock in it, played in a room.
Mannevond sings, Renton writes the songs and drums, Sagstad plays guitar and Larsen bass, and the words are in Norwegian and about desperation, destruction and rot. They have spent the year on Tons of Rock, Midgardsblot and by:Larm, go to Denmark and Sweden this autumn, have Inferno, Karmøygeddon and Hellbotn booked for 2027, and are writing a second album for the autumn of that year.
