King Buffalo have put out "Vagabond", the second song from Doomsayer, and the video was shot in the room where the song was recorded.
That room is the point. The band spent a long stretch building a studio and then making the album in it, and the drummer Scott Donaldson says the plan was always for a space that works as a proper recording room and also looks like somewhere you would film. "It feels great to finally share a glimpse of the new home we've built for ourselves," he said.
Mike Turzanski directed it. There is a particular honesty to a band filming in their own room rather than renting a warehouse for the day, and for a trio who have spent a decade making records about distance and weather it suits the music better than any location would.
Doomsayer is their seventh album and arrives on 4 December. This is the second song from it to come out.
