Relapse Records are repressing both Kingdom of Sorrow albums on vinyl: the 2008 self titled debut and Behind The Blackest Tears from 2010.

This is the second time either has been pressed. The original runs were limited, they sold, and nothing replaced them, so for most of two decades the only way to own these records on the format was to pay whatever a seller felt like asking. A label going back to a catalogue title after eighteen years is usually a sign that the asking price got loud enough to notice.

The project is Jamey Jasta of Hatebreed and Kirk Windstein of Crowbar, with the Bellmore brothers, and it works because neither man softened for it. The hardcore half stays hardcore and the New Orleans half stays slow, and the records sit in the gap rather than splitting the difference.

Pre orders are open now. Nothing in the announcement says anything about new music, which is the question everyone asks whenever this name reappears.
