Knife have released Nightmare, the song that opens Into Your Nightmare, their third album, which Napalm Records puts out on 18 December.
The band are blunt about where it has been. Nightmare has already been baptized by fire during the summer festivals 2026, they say, which is the older way of doing this: play the thing in front of people for months, then record it, rather than release it cold and find out on tour whether it works.
Ten songs, and the titles tell you the register without hearing a note, from Teeth Of The Devil through Gehenna to Raging Metal. The Germans describe the record as the most relentless and versatile piece of sonic steel, which is the kind of sentence speed metal has been writing about itself since 1983 and means it precisely.
The physical run is long even by Napalm's standards: a signed test pressing limited to twenty five, a splatter gatefold limited to two hundred with a bonus track, a tape edition of a hundred and eighty, and a digipack with a sixteen page booklet.
They play the Ferryman Metal Festival in Tuebingen on 14 November, then three German dates between Christmas and New Year with Sacred Steel.
