Leach have released "Strength To Strength", the second single from their EP Psychosomatic, which is out on 9 October with a video alongside it.
The EP holds four songs and one subject. Each track is a different state of living with mental illness, from the breaking point to the endless return of the same thoughts, and the band have been plain that they are not writing a recovery story. "Sometimes you just have to get from one good moment to the next and try not to spend too much time looking down into the valleys in between," they said of this song.
The band come from Borås and have been going since 2003, unsigned the whole way. Four albums are behind them, Blindfold in 2012, Hymns for the Hollow in 2018, Lovely Light of Life in 2021 and New Model of Disbelief in 2024, and the first single from the EP, "Serpent of Time", came out in August.
Markus Wikander sings and plays guitar, Robert Karlsson plays lead, Tobias Oja is on bass and Joachim Dahlström on drums. They play I Scream Metal Fest at Momentum 031 in Gothenburg on 10 October, the day after the EP arrives.
