Lord Vicar have finished their fifth album. It is recorded, mixed and mastered, all of it with Joona Lukala at Noise For Fiction Studio in Turku, and it is dated for the end of February 2027 on CD, vinyl and digital.

No title and no tracklist yet, which is a band telling its audience the work is done rather than selling anything. For a doom band that has put out four albums in nineteen years, that is a message with a point: the gap after The Black Powder in 2019 is the longest they have left.

Formed in Turku in 2007 around the guitarist Kimi Kärki, Lord Vicar have kept to the slow, traditional end of doom ever since, and Svart Records are the label on their page.

Seven years between albums is nothing unusual in this corner of the genre, and the band have said more details are to come.
